Numbers By Faith

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.

To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:10-11)

Welcome to Numbers By Faith! I’m Bill Konyk, and this site is my space on the web. I’m a physicist by trade, but in my free time I use my technical training to study the Bible, learn about church history, and develop resources to make historic Christian writings accessible and useful. It’s my prayer that you will find these encouraging in your walk with Christ.

If you don’t know who Jesus is, please check out this link for a basic summary of Christian belief, then go talk to someone in your life who attends a church and acts like they know God.

The RHEMA Project represents a personal journey to compile, read, and learn from the historic Church. It’s also a carefully curated collection of documents taken from various sources on the web, and over the past several years I’ve worked hard to create ebooks that organize and present these documents.

The first book available is a comprehensive study Bible tailored for modern e-reading platforms. If you’re interested in in-depth Bible study on a Kindle-like device, click the link!

A Setting of Silver is a podcast that provides 21st century listeners access to the writings of first century Christians. These historic works provide insight into how some of the earliest followers of Christ encouraged one another, interpreted the Bible, lived in community, and faced adversity. In hearing their words, carried through the centuries, we can be encouraged in our own walk with God. While these works are of less value and less complete than Scripture, they still provide a setting of silver for understanding the teachings of Christ and His apostles.

These are the projects that started this site… back in 2018, I began a study of the Southern Baptist Convention’s resolutions. Little did I expect that this project would spiral into a host of other work. My more recent efforts have gotten away from the data-driven focus of these articles, but the core code and principles underlie most of the things on this site.
